AfroMN
Building Connections for Africans in Minnesota
About us

AfroMN is a nonprofit dedicated to fostering community among Africans in Minnesota through fun, stress-relieving events like parties and concerts. Founded to create a “home away from home,” we organize 2-3 gatherings each year, celebrate cultural heritage, accept donations (100% supporting communities), and honor committed members with awards. Join us in uniting, unwinding, and making an impact.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide entertainment and social opportunities for African workers, immigrants, students, and families in Minnesota. By hosting events like our all-white cruise party, we help release work stress, promote cultural preservation, and channel 100% of donations to community causes such as health aid and education.

Our History

AfroMN was started in [Year, e.g., 2020] by a group of African professionals seeking a space to connect and celebrate. From small meetups to major events like our July 2025 cruise party, we’ve grown to support over 200 members annually, raising funds for local and African homeland initiatives while recognizing impactful contributors through awards.
